Acceptable Use Policy

Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of the Paced platform, on every tier. It defines what is and is not permitted. By using Paced, you agree to this AUP, which is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

Permitted use

You may use Paced to:

  • Create an account to track your own cycling activity and training.
  • Log your rides and record your training and fitness measurements.
  • View your personal statistics, records, insights, and history, and follow a training plan.
  • Take part in communities, challenges, and badges in good faith.
  • Access the features available to your plan.

Prohibited use

You must not use Paced to:

  • Access accounts or data that are not yours. You may not use, access, or attempt to access another user's account or data without authorisation.
  • Circumvent security or usage controls. You must not attempt to bypass authentication, request verification, rate limits, entitlement/paywall controls, or any other security or access measure.
  • Interfere with the platform. You must not place unreasonable load on our infrastructure, conduct penetration testing without prior written consent, or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the service except as permitted by law.
  • Harvest data. You must not scrape, collect, or extract data beyond your own account's data.
  • Abuse community features. You must not post or share content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or infringing; impersonate others; spam; or harass or bully other members. Keep display names and shared content appropriate.
  • Abuse the referral or subscription systems. You must not create fake or duplicate accounts, self-refer, or otherwise manipulate referrals, trials, rewards, or billing to obtain benefits you are not entitled to. You must not use fraudulent or unauthorised payment methods.
  • Falsify data with intent to deceive others. You must not knowingly submit fabricated activity to gain an unfair advantage in shared community challenges or leaderboards.
  • Infringe third-party rights. You must not use the service in a way that violates intellectual property, privacy rights, or applicable law.
  • Resell or sublicense. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to Paced without a written agreement.
  • Facilitate unlawful activity. You must not use Paced for fraud, money laundering, or any illegal purpose.
  • Abuse support channels. You must not submit false, abusive, or deliberately misleading support requests.

Your data and content

You are responsible for the data and content you enter into Paced. You must:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • Only upload or share data and content that you have the right to share.
  • Not use the service to store or share unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
  • Comply with all applicable laws in relation to what you submit.

Enforcement

Paced may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. On finding a violation, we may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

  • Issue a warning and require remediation.
  • Remove content or restrict community access.
  • Suspend access to some or all features, including revoking rewards obtained through abuse.
  • Terminate your account.
  • Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

Changes

We may update this AUP as the platform evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the app.
